Welcome to the San Diego Immersion Trip blog! Here, you'll find information about the students, teachers, events, schedule and cultural exchange participants that will take place between September 9-30th in sunny SAN DIEGO! Please feel free to leave comments and questions!

Hi Everyone! My name is Chris Hara and I will be helping to coordinate for your San Diego Immersion Program. I am 22 years old and just graduated from UC San Diego where I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. In addition, I have a minor in Education Studies and plan on obtaining my Master’s degree and teaching credentials in the near future. I was born in Allentown, Pennsylvania and my home away from San Diego is Cupertino, California (northern California near San Jose) where I have two loving parents, a sister, and two cats. In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with my friends, surfing, rock climbing, and playing video games. I cannot wait to hear your interests and stories, explore San Diego, and share American culture with you!
My name is Melina. I'm 14 years old and I go to the Juan Bautista Alberdi School. There I do obligatory sport, Artistic gym, and in the afternoon, bilingual class. I'm going to start acting and dance classes. I want to make this travel because I feel that it's going to be a good experience for me. I like the idea to meet people from there and see how are their customs and learn about it. And maybe we could teach them about our customs, especially in the food and dance. I think that, maybe, if we see the style of life there, we could compare it with our style of life and see which is better.
I am Candela and I have sixteen years old. I am shy but when I get to know better other people I could be very talkative. I like all kind of music, but I must say that my favorites are the The Beatles. I love to read, a lot. I usually read on my free time. When it is cold and rains I enjoy watching movies. I love chocolate, I could live my whole life eating only chocolate. I'd love to travel around the world and know the different cultures from each country. I love to spend time with my family and hanging out with my friends. I love them so much, they make me really happy. I would love to learn how to play the guitar and learn different languages. During my visit to San Diego I would like to know how do they live. I like the fact that we will be in contact with other culture and to know that culture.
